Runs on Windows
Ryzera Desktop installs on the shop's own Windows PC.
No internet needed to sell

Sales, stock and customers are stored on that computer.
Cloud is a separate setup
Ryzera Cloud is a different product with its own data. Desktop does not sync with it.
A power cut is different: the PC needs power to run. Your sales stay on its disk, so you can carry on once it is back on.

Scan to add
Scanner Ready sits at the top of the till. Scan a barcode and the item drops into the cart.
F12 to check out
F12 opens checkout when the cart has items, and F12 again completes the payment.
Sell by weight
Type the weight in kg for rice, dhal or vegetables, and the line price follows.
Other, for items without a barcode
Name, quantity and price print on that bill; only the amount is saved.

Pick a customer to sell at retail, wholesale or distributor prices.
Cash, card and credit
Take cash with change due, record a card payment's reference, or charge to a customer's account.

Stock
Stock by batch, with expiry dates.
Goods arrive in batches, and each batch carries its own cost, price and expiry date.

Choose a batch at the till; different batches can have different selling prices.
Expiry on the batch
Record an expiry date per batch and see which ones are expiring soon.
Low stock and expiry alerts
The inventory report lists what is running low and what is close to expiry.
- Ryzera shows you what is expiring. It does not block a sale from an expired batch.

Receipts on the printer you already have.

Set the paper width once in settings; the receipt is laid out for it.

Does it work without the internet?
Yes. Ryzera Desktop runs on your shop's PC, so scanning, billing, printing and reports work with no connection. Ryzera Cloud is a separate product that needs the internet.
What does it run on?
A Windows PC at your counter. PostgreSQL 17 is installed separately before Ryzera Desktop.
What receipt sizes are supported?
Thermal receipt printers with 58 mm or 80 mm paper.
Can I use Sinhala?
The till and back-office screens are in Sinhala and English. The receipt language is set separately, so you can print Sinhala or English receipts.
What hardware can I use?
A barcode scanner, a 58 mm or 80 mm thermal receipt printer, a label printer for barcode labels, and a cash drawer that opens through the receipt printer.
Can I use a card machine?
Yes, alongside Ryzera. Take the payment on your bank's machine, record its reference and approval at the till, and reconcile against the machine's Z-report. The card machine is not connected to the POS.
